Hissco (Pty) Ltd specialises in the supply of a wide range of ‘security’ detection products. These include metal detectors, explosive trace detection and x-ray equipment. Hissco products allow for the screening of people, vehicles, packages and baggage for the detection of explosives, weapons, drugs and other contraband. The company has been operating since 2002 and is based in Johannesburg with Regional Offices and Service Centres in Cape Town and Durban.
The company represents three International Manufacturers for its products. These include L-3 Security & Detection Systems for x-ray; Ceia for metal detection and Thermo for explosive / trace equipment. All of the products sold are leading brand names throughout the world.
Hissco provides both sales and maintenance services to Governmental, Parastatal and Commercial institutions. Customers include Airports Company (ACSA), South African Airways (SAA), House of Parliament, South Africa Revenue Services (SARS) as well as a number of other Government buildings and Commercial facilities. The Company offers comprehensive after sales support and post warranty contract services.
The Company employs highly qualified in-house technicians and does not sub-contract any of its sales, administration or maintenance services. The business is managed by a former Managing Director of the x-ray manufacturer and all systems are based upon the Internationally recognised BVQI quality management system.
Hissco provides great products at competitive prices with unparalleled maintenance support. The Company also carries a significant stock holding thereby minimising its reliance on manufacturers for spare parts. It is for this reason that L-3 Security & Detection Systems (a division of a $14 billion corporation) regard Hissco as their “Centre of Excellence” for Africa.
